Support for your charity during COVID-19

In the midst of this challenging time for individuals and families, your charity has probably also taken a knock financially, perhaps in fewer training sales, or charity shop purchases, or donations. We don’t know how long coronavirus will continue to wreak havoc, but these resources and funding ideas may help in the meantime.

  • NCVO has an excellent webpage with ideas for how to best support your staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries during this time, and information on contingency planning.
  • The government website has information on how organisations, including charities, can receive support to help pay wages.
  • The Small Charities Coalition has a page full of advice and guidance for small charities on coronavirus, and information on how some of the major funders are responding to the crisis.
  • The Institute of Fundraising has provided information on what you may need to consider as a fundraiser at this time.

If you currently have grant funding, get in touch with your funder who will be keen to help you. You may be able to defer reporting, or talk about altering the use of the grant.

If you need any support with revising project budgets or applying for new funds, or more information on charity support during coronavirus, please get in touch.

If you are a church you may find these ideas helpful on how to continue ‘meeting’ as a church during the isolation of COVID-19.
